Tico Duckett is the owner and operator of DBD and a proud Michigan State University alumnus. Best known as a star running back for the MSU Spartans, he still holds the all-time rushing yardage record from his collegiate career. After graduation, Tico played in the NFL with the Washington Commanders before transitioning into a successful career in purchasing as Senior Buyer for Wohlert Corporation.
Recognizing the need for stronger supplier partnerships, Tico founded Tico Duckett Distributing in 1998. The same discipline, work ethic, and determination that drove his success on the football field now fuel the growth of his company, which has become a leading provider of janitorial and industrial supplies across Mid-Michigan.
Beyond business, Tico is deeply committed to his community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Capital Area United Way and the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing, and is an active member of the Greater Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Michigan Minority Business Development Council, Sparrow Hospital Athletes for Kids, and the Michigan State University Alumni Association.
Todd Duckett – Todd Jeffrey Duckett is the CEO of Duckett Enterprises, Founder of New World Flood, Co-Owner of Duckett Brothers Facility Management, and Co-Founder of The Black Success Network & Career Training Camp. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a former NFL running back, drafted in the first round by the Atlanta Falcons. Over his career, he also played for the Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions, and Seattle Seahawks. A proud Michigan State University alumnus, he studied Communications while excelling as a standout Spartan running back.
Today, known simply as Todd or The Reignmaker, he has embraced new roles as a loving husband, devoted father of five, entrepreneur, philanthropist, motivational speaker, and transformation coach. His mission is to create a living legacy of opportunity, offering education, mentorship, and volunteerism for both youth and adults.
In 2011, he founded Duckett Enterprises, a company built on the principle of making a positive impact through business and community engagement. That same year, he launched New World Flood and The Black Success Network, later adding ventures such as The Printing King and District Eleven.
As a dynamic speaker, Todd inspires thousands of teens and adults each year, sharing powerful lessons on identity, resilience, and how to embrace transformation during life’s transitions.
